Copeland GDF Exhibition Roadshow

Come and meet us

A Working Group has formed to begin to explore whether a Geological Disposal Facility (GDF) would be right for Copeland – working in partnership with the local community. To talk to someone about geological disposal of radioactive waste, please visit a GDF exhibition by clicking on one of the locations listed below.

Covid - 19 guidance
This is a Covid-19 safe event – you are invited to pre-register and book a time slot to attend, so that we can manage safe social distancing for everyone. If you feel unwell on the day of your planned visit or have symptoms of Covid-19 (a persistent cough, or high temperature) or you have recently been in contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19, then please do not attend the exhibition and seek medical advice. You will be required to check in on arrival before entering the exhibition. We will need to record your name and a telephone number or email address for contact tracing and we will ask you to scan the NHS Track and Trace barcode at the entrance. Face masks will be worn by staff and made available for visitors use. To provide assurance, all staff will undertake lateral flow tests to check their Covid status on a daily basis. Hand sanitiser and gloves will be available at the entrance and throughout the exhibition.
